A “charismatic” (Atlanta Journal Constitution) John Corbett stars as a talented but immature actor whom is forced to grow up when he finds a new rival...in romance. Amy Smart, Sean Astin and Patty Duke co-star in this feel-good story of self-discovery. After his girlfriend breaks off their relationship and he finds that he’s living in a rut, Peter (Marcus Thomas) auditions for a local acting troupe and is surprisingly given the lead in their production of “Cyrano de Bergerac,” regardless of the fact that he has no experience as an actor. Mike (Corbett), a veteran of the troupe, decides that, for the good of the show, Peter must personally train with him. But when real life begins to mimic the play’s love triangle, and his protégé falls for Grace (Smart), the girl Mike loves but can’t commit to, suddenly it’s Mike’s turn to act...and fast!
