Dick Van Dyke is Fitzwilliam, dutiful servant to eccentric philanthropist Vickie Woodworth. As head of the household staff, Fitzwilliam is dedicated to keeping “Miss Vickie” living in the style to which she’s become accustomed – but it isn’t easy. Miss Vickie has been so charitable that she’s actually quite penniless – and to keep the house humming, the Major-domo must resort to major crime! Aided by a felonious footman, a shameless chauffeur and the rest of the staff, “Fitzwilly” becomes the Robin Hood of Riverside Drive. But when Miss Vickie hires prudent Juliet Nowell (Barbara Feldon) to help her write “a dictionary for illiterates,” the secretary’s suspicious nature could spell doom for the entire household! With hilarious character support from John McGiver, Norman Fell, a young Sam Waterston and Edith Evans, “Fitzwilly” is proof that the butler does “do it,” gets away with it, and keeps you laughing on his way to the bank!
